East Africa Metals to file financial statements for the six months by October 15th

East Africa Metals Updates in Filing of Financial Reports

Vancouver, British Columbia – September 25, 2020 – East Africa Metals Inc. (TSX-V: EAM – “East Africa” or the “Company”) provides update on the status of the filing of its financial statements and accompanying management’s discussion and analysis for the six months ended June 30, 2020 (the “Q2 Filings”), which were required to be filed by the scheduled due date of August 31, 2020, as required by National Instrument 51-102.

As previously announced on August 28, 2020, the Company is relying on the 45-day filing extensions being offered by BC Instrument 51-517, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, for certain periodic filings that are required to be made from June 2, 2020 to August 31, 2020.

The Company expects to file the Q2 Filings by no later than October 15, 2020. Management and other insiders of the Company are subject to a trading blackout policy that reflects the principles in section 9 of National Policy 11-207 until its Q2 Filings have been filed.

Other than as previously disclosed by the Company, there have been no material business developments since the date of the Company’s most recent filing of its interim financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis.
